Qualifications

Job description

1. Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
2. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
3. Ensure timely bank payments
4. Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
5. Manage balance sheets and profit / loss statements
6. Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
7. Audit financial transactions and documents
8. Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
9. Comply with financial policies and regulations
10. Work experience as an Accountant
11. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
12. Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
13. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
14. Experience with general ledger functions
15. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
16. BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
17. Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
