Job description

Amazons UAE Immigration Team is growing its best-in-class professional service to deliver exceptional immigration support to Amazon's employees and candidates across the MENA region. The team, comprising project managers, analysts, and experienced immigration subject matter experts, acts as strategic partners and consultants to Amazon business leaders and partner teams. The team centrally manages immigration filings and vendors supporting Amazon, aiming to improve the cost, quality, and compliance of immigration services.

We are seeking a UAE Immigration Associate to support our growing UAE immigration team based in Dubai. In this role, you will coordinate and execute UAE immigration services, managing a high volume of cases for sponsored employees across different jurisdictions (mainland or freezone entities) and their family members. Responsibilities include managing end-to-end applications with employees, candidates, stakeholders, and government authorities such as the Ministry of Labor, freezone authorities, and Immigration.

The UAE Immigration Associate will be part of the UAE immigration case working team, supporting case operations and coordinating workload across all cases.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Filing and executing immigration cases, coordinating between Immigration Specialists and PROs.
  2. Typing and managing a high caseload of applications, including new, renewal, cancellation, and amendment of work permits and residency visas, with subapplications for work permits, entry permits, medical tests, Emirates IDs, and residency visa stamping.
  3. Planning and tracking all tasks required for each immigration case.
  4. Participating in weekly case review meetings to monitor case progress against standards and metrics.
  5. Maintaining up-to-date case trackers and employee databases.
  6. Coordinating document collection and drafting application materials for review and signature.
  7. Supporting Immigration Specialists with queries and requests.
  8. Coordinating with colleagues for application submissions, document collection, post-approval processes, and liaising with government officials.
  9. Maintaining an understanding of UAE immigration regulations and policies, communicating updates to colleagues and stakeholders.

Qualifications and experience include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in human resources and customer service.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working in confidential environments.
