Job summary

Premier Inn Hotels Middle East is seeking a Housekeeping Team Leader to lead and motivate the housekeeping team, ensuring rooms meet Premier Inn standards and guest expectations. You will release rooms, manage stock, and maintain safety and hygiene practices while communicating with guests in a friendly, down-to-earth manner.

The role also involves coaching staff, conducting briefings, and monitoring KPIs to drive service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a reception team in a branded hotel.
• Computer literate with Opera hotel software.
• Hygiene and safety experience.
• Minimum 1 year leadership experience in hospitality.

Our Housekeeping Team Leaders are at the front line when delivering anoutstanding product to the guest. Not only do you support to lead, motivate andtrain our housekeeping team, you are also responsible for releasing rooms tomeet the standards required. Often you will interact with the guest, managingexpectations in an friendly and down to earth manner taking great pride andattention towards creating a service that our guests love.

What will I be doing?

• Leads by example to develop strongguest relationships with repeat or long stay guests, encouraging guests tocomplete hotel reviews and increase name mentions.
  
• Responsible for all first levelescalations and to make decisions in line with the role scope or escalatesaccordingly.
  
• Ensures the safety of all guests andmanages emergency responses as required in line with company policies andprocedures.
  
• Ensures team compliance on delivery ofall housekeeping policies, procedures, & standards
• Ensures room cleanliness and hygiene,chemical handling and PPE practices are followed by the team
• Completes daily inspections fortrolleys, guest rooms, storage, public areas, back offices and laundry.
• Ensures lost and found items areappropriately reported and recorded
• Ensures any safety hazards orviolations are appropriately managed
• Completing reports and filingappropriately
• Ensures maintenance issues raised arecompleted appropriate
• Reviews and manage stock levels
• Preparation of room allocations,shifts and daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Action cleaning programs with the HKM,OM and Team
• Immediately raises inconsistencies inprocedures, practices or systems to the HKM for reviews into training
• Conducts 10@10, shift briefings &shift handovers.
• Monitors & ensures individual& team KPI’s, objectives, development plans or training requirements aredelivered or completed
• Provides coaching, training &development to the team in line with objectives on a daily basis & through1:1 meetings.
• Supports the Housekeeping Manager withfeedback in relation to the team’s performance reviews and developmentpotential of team members for succession.
• Adheres to & ensures the safety ofthe team, managing emergency response as required in line with company policiesand procedures.

Experience

• You will be likely to have minimum of 1year experience leading a reception team of a branded hotel.
• Computer Literate – Microsoft Office
• Operations Systems - Opera
• Hygiene and safety experience
