Job summary

A premier hospitality establishment in Sharjah is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the housekeeping team and ensure high standards of cleanliness and service. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in hospitality, possess strong English communication skills, and have the ability to work under pressure while managing a multicultural team of staff. Computer literacy, especially with Opera, is a plus.

Job Description

We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic guest-focused Housekeeping professionals who pride themselves on delivering extraordinary levels of customer service and providing creative solutions to our guests.

Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the team of Housekeeping Attendants to achieve operational objectives while ensuring that the standards of cleanliness and maintenance meet hotel requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing job assignments for Housekeeping Attendants
  2. Issuing keys and supplies to Housekeeping Attendants
  3. Monitoring VIPs, Do Not Disturb, Sleep Out, Double-Lock Rooms and taking appropriate actions
  4. Attending daily meetings and receiving special instructions
  5. Processing check-outs and reporting rooms as vacant
  6. Handling guest special requests
  7. Inspecting cleaned areas using checklists to ensure standards are met and reporting repairs
  8. Filling out reports and managing lost and found articles
  9. Supervising cleaning of guest rooms, corridors, and stairwells
  10. Training and assisting Housekeeping Attendants and advising supervisors on performance
  11. Assisting with inventory management and maintenance of equipment
Skills, Education & Qualifications

You should have a diploma or vocational training in hospitality, with previous supervisory experience in a hotel Housekeeping Department. Good command of written and spoken English, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential. Computer literacy and experience with Opera are advantageous.
