Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Shift Leader to join our team at Sofitel Dubai The Palm. As a Housekeeping Shift Leader you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our establishment.

  • Supervise and lead a team of housekeeping staff during assigned shifts
  • Coordinate daily cleaning activities and assign tasks to team members
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards
  • Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Implement and maintain housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Prepare shift reports and communicate effectively with management
  • Promote a positive work environment and motivate team members

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 23 years of experience in housekeeping preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in housekeeping
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Problemsolving skills and ability to make quick decisions
  • Thorough knowledge of cleaning techniques products and equipment
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and best practices
  • Basic computer skills for managing reports and inventory
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to perform housekeeping duties and lead by example
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
