We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Shift Leader to join our team at Sofitel Dubai The Palm. As a Housekeeping Shift Leader, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our establishment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of housekeeping staff during assigned shifts
Coordinate daily cleaning activities and assign tasks to team members
Conduct regular inspections to ensure rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards
Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Implement and maintain housekeeping policies and procedures
Prepare shift reports and communicate effectively with management
Promote a positive work environment and motivate team members
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in housekeeping
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management certification preferred
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
Effective time management and organizational skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
Thorough knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment
Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and best practices
Basic computer skills for managing reports and inventory
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Physical stamina to perform housekeeping duties and lead by example
Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
