Job Description
- Overall cleaning of the guestrooms to include, but not limited to: dusting, making beds, removing soiled linen, retrieving clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenishing room supplies, etc., as per brand standards.
- Use the 'cleaning in progress' sign and keep doors closed when making up rooms.
- Call room service for removal of trays/trolleys.
- Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Take accurate room status reports at the end of each shift.
- Keep linen closets, supply closets, and landings organized and clean.
- Empty vacuum cleaner when nearly full.
- Report any problems or questions to the assigned Supervisor.
- Offer assistance to guests and colleagues courteously.
- Use hands to lift, carry, or pull heavy objects.
- Immediately submit and turn over lost and found items to security.
- Report rooms that do not require service, DND, or were not slept in, on the assigned floor.
- Report any mattress protectors, blankets, bedspreads, or valances needing change to the Floor Housekeeper.
- Report any suspicious persons to Housekeeping or security.
- Report any health and safety hazards.
- Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions.
- Read, understand, and follow all department policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, vocational training, or 1 year of work experience.
- Fluent in English (written & verbal) is essential.
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment is desirable but not essential.
- Friendly and pleasant disposition with good people interaction skills.
- High level of personal cleanliness and grooming.
