OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION: Clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
- Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level daily, following LQA and Brand standards in every task.
- Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
- Clean guest rooms by category priority/assignment.
- Transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to assigned guest rooms and position securely.
- Service assigned guest rooms, including emptying trash, replacing linens, cleaning bathrooms, and inspecting room conditions.
- Ensure proper placement of amenities, replace damaged items, and check for damages or missing items.
- Clean all furniture, fixtures, windows, and appliances, ensuring they are dust-free and in good condition.
- Inspect and maintain the condition of furniture, amenities, and appliances, reporting damages to supervisors.
- Handle guest complaints following established procedures to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Report any damages or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Turn over lost and found items to the supervisor.
- Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and colleagues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum one year of experience cleaning hotel guest rooms.
- High school diploma.
- Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling and cleaning equipment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages preferred.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and communicate effectively.
- No specific licenses or certifications required.
