Job summary

Yosh Hospitality in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated tailor to carry out garment alterations, repairs, and bespoke tailoring to the hotel's standards. You will take accurate measurements, select suitable methods, and ensure finished garments meet quality expectations.

Qualifications

Experience as tailor, seamstress, garment alteration specialist or similar role.
Good knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, alterations, repairs and finishing methods.
Ability to take accurate measurements and interpret alteration instructions or garment specifications.
Confident using sewing machines, hand-sewing tools, irons and related equipment safely.

Responsibilities

Alter, repair, and finish garments per instructions and specifications.
Take accurate body and garment measurements and confirm alteration requirements.
Fit garments and adjust for a professional finish and comfortable fit.
Carry out sewing tasks by hand or machine, including hemming, stitching, repairing seams and fastenings.
Assess fabrics and determine suitable alteration and repair methods.
Follow procedures for garment handling, labelling, storage, collection, and delivery.
