Job summary

Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff, monitor premises, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role requires strong observation, communication skills, and the ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays. A basic computer skill set and security training are preferred. Join a luxury hospitality team and protect assets across the property.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience in hotel or hospitality preferred.
• Excellent observation and communication skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Physically fit for standing and walking for extended periods.
• Good command of English; other languages a plus.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete reports/logs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues, visitors and property.
• Monitor hotel premises including guest areas and service entrances.
• Conduct regular patrols and security inspections.
• Monitor CCTV and report suspicious activity.
• Control access to restricted areas per hotel procedures.
• Verify IDs and authorization of staff, contractors, visitors and suppliers.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and logs.
• Assist in handling lost and found items.
• Support hotel during emergencies and evacuations.
• Coordinate with Security Supervisor, Duty Manager and departments.
• Liaise with local authorities when required.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
• Monitor deliveries and movement of goods as needed.
• Maintain professional conduct and protect hotel assets.
