Job summary

Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi seeks a dedicated Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. You will monitor premises, patrol areas, control access, and respond to incidents with professional discretion.

You should have prior hotel security experience, strong observation, English proficiency, and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Join a luxury property renowned for its service and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Security Officer or similar role in hospitality.
• Hospitality or luxury hotel security experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response and basic safety.
• Strong observation and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues and property.
• Monitor hotel premises including guest areas, entrances and exits.
• Conduct regular patrols and security inspections throughout the hotel.
• Monitor CCTV and report suspicious or unusual activity.
• Control access to restricted areas per hotel procedures.
• Verify identification and authorization of colleagues, contractors and visitors.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents and emergencies.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain security logs.
• Assist in handling lost and found items per procedures.
• Support the hotel during emergencies, evacuations and alarms.
• Coordinate with Security Supervisor, Duty Manager and departments.
• Liaise with local authorities and emergency services when required.
• Ensure compliance with hotel security policies and standards.
• Monitor deliveries and movement of goods when required.
• Maintain discipline and enforce hotel policies professionally.
• Protect hotel assets and confidentiality of guest information.
