Job summary

Accor Swissotel Al Murooj in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Officer to coordinate hotel-wide EHS activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safety performance across departments.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year in EHS within hospitality and a relevant degree; NEBOSH certification is preferred. You will lead inspections, audits, training, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to protect guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline; 1+ year of professional EHS experience.
• Professional certification such as NEBOSH, OHSAS, or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate hotel-wide health, safety, and environmental activities.
• Develop annual EHS plans covering inspections, audits, awareness campaigns, training, and improvement initiatives.
• Review existing safety methods and recommend improvements to procedures, systems, and controls.
• Identify workplace hazards and establish preventive and corrective measures.
• Conduct routine inspections across guest areas, departments, back-of-house spaces, kitchens, and staff facilities.
• Monitor adherence to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Train colleagues on safe working practices and provide ongoing coaching.
• Coordinate internal and external EHS training activities.
• Maintain EHS documentation, reports, and performance statistics.
