Job summary

Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park is seeking a Receiving Clerk in Dubai to manage incoming goods. You will check, count and document deliveries, ensure quality per specifications, and direct accepted items to storage to maintain inventory integrity.

Ideal candidates have stores/receiving experience, basic financial literacy, and strong organizational and communication skills. This role requires physical stamina to lift up to 20kg and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a stores/receiving related position is advantageous.
• Computer savvy with basic financial knowledge.
• A passionate team player, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workloads.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong organisational, time management and logistical skills.
• Good physical stamina to lift and handle goods up to 20kg.

Responsibilities

• Check and count all goods to be received per approved purchase order.
• Ensure that goods are in order, of good quality and according to the established specifications.
• Reject all goods which do not meet the specifications.
• Move accepted products to storage areas immediately to minimize employee theft and deterioration of product quality.
• Ensure proper documentation on all goods delivered to the hotel as well as those returned to the suppliers.
• Summarize and record all goods purchased by the hotel on a daily basis.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the Receiving Bay by liaison with Stewarding Staff whenever cleaning is required.
• Be well versed in all descriptions and types of operating equipment for the Hotel, including maintaining catalogues, sample pictures of such items for reference.
