The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a similar role with a mechanical diploma and strong guest-service orientation. English proficiency is required, and hotel engineering experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years as a Plumber, General Technician or similar; hotel/large facility preferred.
• Related technical or mechanical certification or diploma.
• Strong guest-service attitude with proactive problem solving.
• Ability to read shop drawings and specifications; estimate materials.
• English speaking mandatory; basic technical maintenance English reading/writing.

Responsibilities

• Responds to Health & Safety, water leaks, flooding and urgent engineering issues promptly.
• Plumbing installation, inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance across guest areas.
• Maintains hot- and cold-water supply, pipework, pumps, tanks and related equipment.
• Repairs toilets, showers, sinks, taps and other plumbing fixtures.
• Identifies leaks, blocked drains and faulty valves; investigates root causes.
• Maintains drainage, waste and storm-water systems and floor drains.
• Supports connections to kitchen, laundry, ice-making and other equipment.
• Conducts inspections and testing after repairs to ensure safety.
• Supports water hygiene and Legionella controls where applicable.
• Operates and repairs water works, steam-generation and LP gas systems within competency.
• Performs general maintenance tasks and assists other trades during projects.
