Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Dubai is seeking a service oriented Food & Beverage Barista to join the team. Ideally located in Dubai Science Park, you will craft handcrafted coffee, engage guests, and uphold hygiene and brand standards.

Minimum 1–2 years barista experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-volume cafe in Dubai/UAE is required, with strong English communication and Dubai hygiene certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of barista experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-volume cafe in Dubai/UAE.
• Proficient espresso preparation, milk steaming, dial-in calibration, and basic latte art.
• High school diploma; formal barista certification (e.g., SCA) or hospitality diploma preferred.
• Valid Basic Food Hygiene Certification compliant with Dubai Municipality rules (or willing to obtain upon joining).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of handcrafted coffee beverages, specialty teas, and seasonal drinks according to brand standards.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by warmly welcoming guests, taking orders accurately, and addressing guest needs.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety and hygiene; keep workstations organized and sanitized.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain coffee equipment; coordinate with Maintenance for issues.
• Manage inventory and stock, monitor product levels, apply FIFO, minimize waste, process POS transactions.
• Build positive relationships with guests, long-stay residents, and local professionals; gather feedback and address needs promptly.
