Scope and Objectives

This position focuses on providing attentive service to all guests, projecting warmth and friendliness consistently. Responsibilities include maintaining dining reservations using the reservation system and updating patrons' preferences and history.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

  1. Ensure correct grooming standards are followed at all times.
  2. Exceed guest satisfaction by knowing and updating preferences and profiles.
  3. Attend to phone queries and reservations.
  4. Attend to walk-in guests.
  5. Follow up on restaurant financials, LQA, TrustYou, and Forbes targets daily.
  6. Anticipate and service guests' requirements at all times.
  7. Follow up on daily financial targets of the area/division.
  8. Use opening and closing checklists to ensure smooth venue operations.
  9. Communicate reservation needs and special requests to managers.
  10. Coordinate reservations with the Dining Reservation Department and other Hostesses.
  11. Manage the log book and handle seating cards for guest recognition.
  12. Maintain guest history records.
  13. Assist guests to their tables and manage seating arrangements.
  14. Keep menus in impeccable condition, free of spelling or grammatical errors and marks.
  15. Coordinate and assist in service according to standards.
  16. Maintain high standards of service at all times.
  17. Communicate issues concerning the outlet to Head Hostess, Supervisors, and Managers.
  18. Adhere to hotel standards and policies.
  19. Feel empowered and accountable within the workplace.
  20. Update managers on guest feedback for glitch reporting.
  21. Maintain HACCP and FIFO standards as required.
  22. Follow hotel evacuation policies during emergencies.
  23. Attend briefings and training sessions as instructed.
  24. Handle financial procedures per finance guidelines.
  25. Identify potential problems and anticipate guest needs, seeking assistance proactively.
  26. Perform duties and projects as assigned by management.
  27. Report issues and negative feedback through the glitch system.
  28. Follow care programs and report issues via the system to maintenance.
  29. Perform other duties as assigned.
