Job summary

Rosewood Abu Dhabi is seeking a Hostess for Aqua to deliver welcoming, luxe guest experiences. You will manage reservations, greet guests, coordinate seating, and support seamless dining while upholding Rosewood standards.

You will coordinate with service and culinary teams, maintain a polished hostess station, and assist during peak service periods to ensure memorable visits for all guests.

The Food & Beverage team at Aqua is dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences that reflect the warmth, sophistication, and personalized service synonymous with Rosewood Abu Dhabi. Working closely with restaurant leadership, service associates, and culinary teams, the Hostess serves as the first and last point of contact for guests, creating memorable impressions and ensuring seamless dining experiences. Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Outlet, this role is instrumental in coordinating guest seating, managing reservations, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and service excellence.

YOUR ROLE

As a Hostess, you will create welcoming and memorable experiences for every guest who visits Aqua. You will manage reservations, greet and escort guests, coordinate seating arrangements, and support the smooth operation of the restaurant while ensuring Rosewood, Forbes, and LQA standards are consistently upheld. Through your professionalism, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality, you will help create exceptional dining experiences that encourage guests to return time and again.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Welcome, greet, and escort guests to their tables while delivering a warm, engaging, and personalized arrival experience.
• Manage restaurant reservations, cancellations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of restaurant offerings, menus, specials, hotel facilities, and daily activities to assist guests confidently.
• Coordinate with service and culinary teams to ensure smooth guest flow, optimal table management, and exceptional dining experiences.
• Monitor the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the hostess station, restaurant entrance, menus, and dining areas.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and guest satisfaction.
• Support restaurant operations by maintaining accurate logs, communicating VIP arrivals and special requests, and assisting during peak service periods.
• Uphold Rosewood brand standards, Forbes Travel Guide expectations, and LQA service requirements in every guest interaction.

• You have experience in a restaurant, hospitality, guest relations, or customer-facing role, preferably within a luxury dining environment.
• You are passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences and enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
• You possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and can make guests feel genuinely welcomed.
• You are highly organized and able to manage reservations, guest flow, and multiple priorities with confidence and professionalism.
• You pay close attention to detail and consistently maintain high service and presentation standards.
• You remain calm and composed in busy environments while effectively handling guest requests and resolving concerns.
• You enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to a team-oriented culture.
• You are fluent in English, and additional language skills would be considered an advantage.
