Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking a physician specialist in Internal Medicine to diagnose, treat, and manage patient illnesses within the Hospital Medicine service. The role involves clinical patient care, referrals, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in Abu Dhabi.

The candidate should hold MD/MBBS/MBChB or equivalent and complete a recognized Internal Medicine specialization from Tier 1 or Tier 2 countries per DOH PQR guidelines.

Qualifications

• MD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited Institution.
• Completion of a recognized specialization in Internal Medicine from Tier 1or Tier 2 Countries - Tiers are listed in the DOH PQR

Responsibilities

• Monitors and provides care to patients within the Hospital Medicine specialty.
• Prescribes or administers medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness.
• Analyzes records, reports and test results to diagnose patient's medical condition.
• Interacts with patient to gather additional history and information about medical condition.
• Explains procedures and discusses test results or prescribed treatments with patient.
• Provides specific treatments and/or performs operations to treat patient medical conditions.
• Evaluates patient and records applicable notes about patient's condition for treatment records or referrals.
• Liaises with other medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Performs surgical procedures and operations as appropriate.
• Follows ethical and regulatory guidelines.
• Participates in administrative tasks to support clinical operations.

Education
