Position Summary

Hospital Doctor (General Practitioner)-ER

As a clinical role within the hospital's Clinical Services, the successful candidate will have at least 3 years of clinical experience beyond internship. This role is crucial in establishing hospital services to meet international standards and accreditation requirements.

Main Duties
  • Admitting patients under supervision, ensuring complete documentation.
  • Documenting handover notes.
  • Initiating investigations as instructed.
  • Ordering treatments and medications as directed.
  • Collaborating with clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Conducting daily ward rounds and participating in senior staff rounds.
  • Maintaining daily inpatient progress records.
  • Following up on investigations and adjusting treatments accordingly.
  • Preparing patients for procedures or surgery and obtaining informed consent.
  • Responding to calls and seeing patients from the Emergency Department and specialty clinics.
Responsibilities
  • Handling consultation requests from other departments or hospitals.
  • Providing consultation to referred patients.
  • Maintaining professional conduct and good relationships with staff.
  • Participating in on-call rotations during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Completing medical records promptly.
  • Attending medical staff meetings and conferences.
  • Performing duties as per department-specific roles and responsibilities.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned.
  • Participating in quality improvement activities to meet JCI and regulatory standards.
  • Implementing clinical pathways and guidelines as applicable.
