This position is suitable for a qualified teacher with UAE school experience, strong English communication skills, and the ability to create a positive, engaging, and well-managed learning environment for students.

Role Context

The Homeroom Teacher will be responsible for teaching core subjects, supporting student wellbeing, managing classroom routines, monitoring academic progress, and maintaining strong communication with parents and school leadership. The role requires familiarity with British curriculum expectations, KHDA framework awareness, effective lesson planning, student-centered teaching, and professional collaboration within a Dubai school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with British curriculum standards and school academic expectations.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment that supports student learning and wellbeing.
  • Teach core classroom subjects using age-appropriate methods, interactive activities, and differentiated instruction.
  • Support students in developing literacy, numeracy, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning skills.
  • Monitor student progress through classwork, assessments, observations, projects, homework, and formative feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, attainment, behavior, learning progress, and classroom performance.
  • Use varied teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with different abilities, learning styles, and academic levels.
  • Apply knowledge of the KHDA framework to support teaching quality, classroom standards, and school improvement priorities.
  • Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, wellbeing, and learning support.
  • Collaborate with subject teachers, coordinators, school leaders, and support teams to improve student outcomes.
  • Prepare lesson plans, learning resources, displays, worksheets, digital materials, and classroom activities.
  • Maintain effective classroom management, clear routines, positive behavior expectations, and student engagement.
  • Participate in staff meetings, school events, parent meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning activities.
  • Follow school policies related to safeguarding, inclusion, assessment, health and safety, and student wellbeing.
  • Contribute to a caring school culture that promotes respect, responsibility, confidence, and academic achievement.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education is mandatory.
  • Minimum 1 year of UAE experience in a British curriculum school is required.
  • Previous experience as a Homeroom Teacher, Primary Teacher, Class Teacher, or similar classroom teaching role.
  • Strong understanding of British curriculum teaching practices and classroom expectations.
  • Knowledge of the KHDA framework is preferred.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Strong lesson planning, classroom management, assessment, and student progress tracking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, coordinators, parents, and school leadership.
  • Professional approach to documentation, parent communication, and school responsibilities.
