Job description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Primary Teacher to join our team at Vernus International School Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, supervising, and assessing assigned students according to their educational needs, delivering the U.S. Common Core Curriculum, and ensuring each student achieves academic success. The role also involves contributing to the wider school community, supervising Junior Teachers and Learning Support Assistants, and having advanced computer knowledge.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach and assess assigned students according to their educational needs
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the curriculum, keeping up to date with current changes and modifications
  • Implement project-based learning approaches
  • Prepare well-planned, engaging, and differentiated lessons
  • Administer and mark formal assessments in accordance with guidelines
  • Encourage students to develop lifelong learning skills
  • Manage student behavior in line with the school's policies
  • Maintain accurate records and data collection on the school's database
  • Participate in school events and support the school's ethos and principles

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in education or a relevant field
