Homeroom Teacher
Purpose of Role
Nibras International School is seeking a Homeroom Teacher to join the team in August 2025. All staff share responsibility for ensuring children are safe and properly supervised. The school is committed to providing engaging and meaningful learning experiences to maximize student progress. Staff are expected to adhere to NIS policies and promote our vision of a happy community school where pupils are empowered, engaged, and make exceptional progress.

- Plan and prepare schemes of work and documentation.

- Assign and assess work both in school and remotely.
- Promote students' intellectual, moral, spiritual, cultural, physical, and personal development.
- Record and report on students' personal and social needs.
- Contribute to school development and share best practices.
Assessment, Recording, and Reporting
- Assess and report on student development and attainment.
- Provide feedback and help students set improvement targets.
Professional Development
- Review and improve teaching methods and programs.
- Take responsibility for own development.
- Participate in training and professional growth opportunities.
Curriculum Development
- Collaborate on curriculum and assessment development.
- Take responsibility for specific subjects.
- Embed UAE heritage and culture within the curriculum.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Education: Bachelor Degree in Education or relevant Bachelor with a Diploma in Education.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
Commitments: Adherence to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with vetting procedures including background checks.
