Job description

• Lead and manage QA/QC activities on marine construction projects, particularly those involving rockworks (e.g., breakwaters, revetments, scour protection).
• Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and related documents to develop inspection and test plans (ITPs).
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Conduct regular site inspections and oversee material testing related to rock placement, geotextiles, and associated works.
• Coordinate with project engineers, construction teams, and subcontractors to address and resolve quality-related issues.
• Ensure the traceability of materials and verify their compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain and update QA/QC documentation including NCRs, test reports, method statements, checklists, and audit records.
• Lead internal audits and participate in third-party or client audits as required.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to management and clients.
• Provide training and mentoring to junior QA/QC personnel on site.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in QA/QC roles, with at least 5 years in marine construction projects involving rockworks.
• In-depth knowledge of international standards and specifications relevant to marine construction (e.g., BS, ASTM, ISO).
• Familiarity with geotechnical aspects and rock placement methodologies.
• Proven experience in preparing and implementing ITPs and quality control documentation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
