JOB DESCRIPTION :

1. A HIMS (Health Information Management Services) Release of Information (ROI) Clerk plays a crucial role in healthcare by managing the secure release of patients' medical records in compliance with laws, policies, and privacy.
2. Process requests for medical records from patients, providers, legal representatives, insurance companies, and government agencies.
3. Locate, retrieve, and prepare medical records for release (electronic and/or paper).
4. Communicate with patients, attorneys, insurance representatives, and internal staff about record request status or requirements.
5. Prepare invoices for copies of records when applicable.
