Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Highway Design Engineer in Dubai to plan, design, and deliver transportation infrastructure projects. You will develop geometric designs, alignments, and corridor models while ensuring compliance with local standards and client requirements.

With 4–8 years of highway design experience and UAE project exposure, you will collaborate across traffic, utilities, drainage, structures, landscape, lighting, ITS, and BIM teams, contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4–8 years of highway design experience; UAE infrastructure experience preferred.
• Experience delivering projects for RTA or similar authorities is an advantage.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare highway geometric designs from concept through detailed design.
• Develop horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, grading, and corridor models.
• Produce engineering calculations, design reports, quantities, and technical documentation.
• Prepare design drawings in accordance with BIM and CAD standards.
• Coordinate with traffic, utilities, drainage, structures, landscape, lighting, ITS, and BIM teams.
• Assist in utility coordination and conflict resolution.
• Support Value Engineering studies and option assessments.
• Participate in road safety reviews and design risk assessments.
• Assist during construction support activities including technical queries, design clarifications, and site visits.
