Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd. seeks an experienced Highway Design Engineer for Roads and Corridors in Dubai. You will develop highway geometric designs from concept to detailed design, coordinating with drainage, utilities and BIM teams to deliver regulated infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 4–8 years in highway or transportation design, familiarity with UAE standards, and proficiency in BIM workflows and design software. The role is full-time in Dubai with regional project exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 4-8 years of highway/road design experience.
• Experience with UAE infrastructure projects preferred.
• Experience supporting RTA or similar transport authorities is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of highway geometric design and earthworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop highway geometric designs through concept, preliminary and detailed design stages.
• Prepare horizontal alignments, vertical profiles, cross sections and road corridor models.
• Produce calculations, quantities, design reports and technical notes.
• Create design drawings following BIM, CAD, and document control standards.
• Coordinate layouts with drainage, utilities, traffic, and structural teams.
• Support option studies and value engineering assessments.
• Participate in safety reviews and design risk assessments.
• Respond to design review comments and implement approved changes.
