Job Description

• Operate heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and regulations.
• Load and unload cargo onto the vehicle, ensuring it is secure and properly distributed to maintain balance and stability.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for any mechanical issues or damage that may affect its safe operation.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes to reach destinations on time, considering factors such as traffic conditions and road closures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and update them on any delays or issues encountered during the journey.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding vehicle maintenance, fueling, and reporting of any accidents or incidents.

Desired Candidate Profile

• At least 2 years of experience driving heavy vehicles, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 3 years.
• Familiarity with the local area and ability to navigate using GPS or maps.
