Job Description
  1. Safely operate and navigate heavy vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations and company policies.
  2. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure vehicle safety.
  3. Transport goods and materials to designated locations, adhering to delivery schedules and routes.
  4. Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times to comply with legal requirements.
  5. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to report any delays or changes in delivery schedules.
  6. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
  7. Follow all health and safety regulations, including those specific to transporting hazardous materials.
  8. Manage and maintain vehicle cleanliness and organization, both inside and out, to represent the company professionally.
  9. Resolve on-road issues promptly, including vehicle breakdowns and emergency situations, while maintaining calm and professionalism.
Desired Candidate Profile
  1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in heavy vehicle operation are a plus.
  2. Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License with a clean driving record and relevant endorsements.
  3. Minimum of 1 year of experience driving heavy vehicles in a commercial setting, preferably in logistics or distribution.
  4. Strong physical stamina and fitness to handle the demands of loading, unloading, and long-distance driving.
  5. Ability to read and understand maps, road signs, and delivery instructions effectively.
  6. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed for timely deliveries.
  7. Experience handling container loading with bogie is a must.
