Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Technician on behalf of one of our partners — a market leader in the field of rock drilling and heavy equipment with deep hands-on expertise in FRD machinery to join on-site operations in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and servicing of heavy machinery used in construction, mining, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge and the ability to work independently in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment on-site.
- Inspect equipment for defects, wear, or damage and conduct diagnostics to identify issues.
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand tools and specialized equipment.
- Follow maintenance schedules as per manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Conduct safety checks to ensure all equipment is operating in a safe and reliable condition.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and equipment history.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and equipment operators to schedule downtime and optimize equipment availability.
- Adhere strictly to safety standards and UAE regulatory compliance for on-site mechanical work.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely solutions to reduce downtime.
- Support training and mentoring of junior technicians or apprentices when needed.

Requirements:
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Diesel Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in the UAE or Gulf region.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Valid UAE driving license is a plus.
- Physical ability to work in outdoor and sometimes harsh environmental conditions.
