Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi is seeking a healthcare billing specialist with experience in medical coding and audits. The role involves data entry for billing, maintaining patient profiles, submitting reports, and handling inquiries while ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate holds a medical degree (BS Nursing preferred), is familiar with UAE billing processes, and has CPC/CCSPB certifications with 1–2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Medical Bachelor Degree – BS Nursing preferred.
• Working knowledge of the billing process in a healthcare setting in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
• CPC – Certified Professional Coder or CCSPB-Certified Coder Specialist Physician Based.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in billing, in a Home Care setting.
• Must have a TASNEEF, JAWDA & DOH Audit exposure.
• Not less than two years medical coding experience post qualification in appropriate setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry of client information for billing.
• Generate, update, and maintain patient profiles for both current and new clients.
• Submit required reports for approval/re-approval while coordinating with supervisors.
• Provide customer service over the phone and handle claim inquiries.
• Resolve patients’ complaints and concerns.
• Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure completeness of all insurance forms and sub-forms.
• Submit high-quality billings at all times.
• Prepare and submit claims for payment promptly.
• Respond to inquiries regarding accounts.
• Post cash receipts as received, if any.
• Complete accounts receivable and accounts payable reports.
• Monitor accounts receivable and outstanding claims.
• Maintain a minimum balance in outstanding accounts.
• Prepare claims and reports as requested by management.
• Create and update billing manuals with new rules and regulations.
• Attend provider billing training as needed for updates.
• Maintain current expertise in billing and collections.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and personnel information.
• Adhere to regulations and agency policies and standards.
• Track and cross-check forms, claimed amounts, level of care, duration of care, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
