Role overview:

This role assists in delivering holistic care under the supervision of a registered nurse or clinician while ensuring effective communication within the interdisciplinary team. It promotes continuous improvement in patient care through research, evidence-based practice, and skill development within the specialty. Additionally, it supports the safe, efficient, and effective management of the department with allocated resources.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to organizational policies, regulatory standards, and ethical codes while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Supports clinical staff in delivering patient-centered care, ensuring dignity, safety, and advocacy for vulnerable individuals while reporting any concerns.
  • Works under nursing supervision alongside interdisciplinary teams to provide effective, individualized patient care and communicates effectively.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development, evaluates personal performance, and contributes to an innovative culture of operational efficiency.
  • Assists in educating patients and families, ensuring access to necessary information and resources to meet healthcare needs.
