Job summary

MBRF Global Foods Company is seeking a Health & Safety Officer I - Factory to lead HSE practices within the manufacturing environment. You will implement safety programs, verify training, and oversee incident reporting and risk assessment under ADOSH guidelines.

You will coordinate with security and subcontractors, maintain records, and support BRF Sustainability goals while ensuring a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in health, safety and regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of ADOSH and ISO 45001 principles and related regulations.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and investigate incidents, determining root causes.
• Experience delivering safety inductions and training to employees and contractors.
• Strong communication and collaboration with management, contractors and external authorities.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce best safety practices at the factory.
• Ensure personnel receive appropriate HSE training as required by ADOSH.
• Assist in incident reporting, investigation, and risk assessment per ADOSH framework.
• Participate in quarterly Safety Department reviews to track health and safety objectives.
• Maintain safety records and documents under the ADOSH framework.
• Brief subcontractors on safety procedures and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with security staff and provide first aid as needed.
• Contribute to BRF Sustainability policy and ESG commitments.

What will you be doing at MBRF?

• Ensure implantation of best safety practices
• Ensure that all personnel have received appropriate safety and health training as stipulated in HSE
• Assist in incident reporting, investigation. Analysis and risk assessment as stipulated in the ADOSH System framework
• Participate in Safety Department Review at least once every quarter to review the achievements of the Safety and Health Objectives and improvements to the HSE manual
• Maintain a system of incident reporting, investigation. Analysis and risk assessment as stipulated in the Occupational Health and safety Abu Dhabi (ADOSH) system framework.
• Assist to Conduct Safety Department Review at least once every quarter to review the achievements of the Safety and Health Objectives and improvements to the HSE manual
• Update the Safety and Health documents and follow-up on recommendations of safety committees and work group
• Maintain relevant safety records, records and certificates required under the ADOSH framework
• Brief and instruct sub-contractors on the safety and health procedures and instructions that they and their employees are required to comply with
• Monitor and maintain safety and health, prevent and fight fires, respond to accidents and control environment pollution
• Assist to Define and Specify all PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) to be used at the factory like clothing, Helmets, Goggles, Shoes, Gloves, Garments etc; designed to protect the wearer's body from injury from accidents bearing in mind the Hygiene of the employee and the work atmosphere
• Assist to recommend changes in the procedures, polices and related occupational health and safety documents
• Coordinate with Factory security staff
• Provide first aid / emergency assistance when required
• Comply with BRF Sustainability Policy guidelines, ensure adherence to BRF Sustainability Plan through activities in its routines that promotes compliance with the indicators and global ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) commitments of the Company, ensuring the connection between its actions and sustainable development in the BRF chain.

What competencies are key to this role?

• Health, Safety & Regulatory Compliance – Strong understanding of HSE standards, ADOSH requirements, ISO 45001 principles, and environmental regulations to ensure compliance and a safe working environment.
• Risk Assessment & Incident Investigation – Ability to identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Safety Training & Workplace Awareness – Capability to deliver safety inductions, coach employees and contractors, and promote a proactive safety culture across the factory.
• Stakeholder Communication & Influencing Skills – Effective communication with employees, management, contractors, and external authorities to ensure adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
• Problem Solving & Emergency Response – Ability to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies, provide first aid support when required, and implement practical solutions to reduce workplace risks.
