Job description

Sigma Engineering Works, part of Mazrui Energy Services is looking for a dynamic and energetic HSE Supervisor to be part of the HSE Team of Mazrui Energy Services.

Work Location - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the HSE Manager in the implementation of HSE programs, including risk management activities, waste management, industrial hygiene, report writing, Camp Inspection, HSE compliance auditing, emergency response, HSE training, HSE program development, incident investigation, data trending and analysis, Permit to Work System, Lock-Out/Tag-Out System, Hazardous Chemical -MSDS, PPE System, and Working at Height.
  • Conduct HSE audits, workplace inspections, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting.
  • Monitor compliance with HSE training, orientation, and induction programs for employees.
  • Conduct safety awareness activities, such as Toolbox Talks, Safety Inductions, and Job Safety Analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements from relevant authorities and support inspections.
  • Maintain HSE Department registries (Fire Extinguisher Inspections, Spill Inspections, Emergency Drills, First Aid Items, Camp Hygiene Inspections, etc.).
  • Lead and coordinate emergency preparedness plans and procedures.
  • Provide first aid and medical assistance in case of emergencies.
  • Educate and refresh medical first aiders on company protocols.
  • Monitor and report HSE performance indicators and advise on improvement actions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHAD RF standards.
  • Update regularly QHSE Communication boards.
  • Monitor readiness/response to emergency situations through regularly held and documented drills.
  • Perform Visitor and Employee induction on the office and the site and advise on Camp induction.
  • Act as OCMIC (On Scene Man in Charge) during emergency situations.
  • Monitor the IVMS (In Vehicle Monitoring System) data.
  • Under the direction of the Sustainability Team Leader, lead, identify, and apply effective sustainability solutions within BU.
  • Under the direction of the Sustainability Team Leader, develop, implement, and monitor sustainability initiatives and strategies.
  • Recognize opportunities and challenges related to Sustainability, ESG, and CSR.
What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Internal/Lead Auditor Certification.
  • ADOSH/OSHAD-SF Practitioner (preferred).
  • First Aid and Emergency Medical Training (EMT-B preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in HSE roles.
  • Experience in industrial safety, medical response, auditing, and incident investigation.
  • Previous experience in a well-established company or contractor complying with ADOSH.
