Job description

JOB PURPOSE

The role holder will be responsible for coordinating and supporting health, safety, and environmental initiatives within the organization, coordinate closely with various departments, employees, and management to ensure the compliance of HSE regulations, promote a culture of safety, and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance across the locations.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KPIs

  • Conduct regular HSE audit as per schedule and ensure audit compliance and prepare the audit reports & action plan based on findings, and coordinate with the departments for its strict compliance.
  • Assist in implementing HSE policies & procedures within the organization.
  • Coordinate on risk assessments to eliminate potential hazards, safety violations, and environmental risks.
  • Coordinate and participate in safety audits and inspections.
  • Coordinate with the departments in case of any changes in relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and ensure the compliance with regulation authority.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authority, such as occupational health and safety authorities, to ensure proper reporting and adherence to regulations.
  • Support in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Maintain and update accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with the department for maintaining HSE documentation (Certificates, training, audit schedule, investigation reports) required for regulatory/internal authority.
  • Provide support to employees regarding safety protocols, equipment usage, emergency procedures, and the proper handling of hazardous materials.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • NEBOSH or relevant certifications (IOSH, OSHA, etc...)
  • Good time-management skills
  • Organization and planning skills
