Health Safety Environment Advisor

About the Company - Stevin Rock is looking for a dedicated HSE Advisor to support our projects and site operations, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety management.

About the Role - You will play a crucial role in supporting all projects and site operations to meet the requirements of our health and safety management system. You will assist various departments and managers by recognising hazards, minimising risks, and creating, maintaining, and improving health, safety, and environmental standards. You will champion HSE initiatives in the workplace, driving industry best practices and ensuring adherence to legislation.

Responsibilities

• Health and Safety Management: Promote a safety-first culture through internal campaigns such as "5 to stay alive" and "7 Golden Rules". Provide consistent and accurate HSE advice and support to employees and management. Perform inspections, drills, and walkthroughs related to the site HSE Programme. Produce weekly and monthly HSE reports, including statistics and investigation outcomes.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. Monitor and review the effectiveness of risk control measures. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
• Training and Development: Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and management. Maintain training records and ensure all training is up-to-date. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary.
• Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations into workplace incidents and accidents. Identify root causes and develop corrective actions. Prepare detailed incident reports and present findings to management. Ensure all incidents are reported and recorded in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Professional Qualifications: NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a high hazard/risk industry such as Mining or Construction. Experience in large-scale operations or projects with over 500 employees. History of working in a multicultural workforce. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with industry-standard KPIs such as TRIR, LTIFR, LTIIR.
• Other Requirements: Fluent in English & Hindi. UAE Manual Driving License.
