Job description

Key Accountabilities

Health & Safety Officer

• Implement Taaleem policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ADEK and OSHAD regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections.
• Train employees in health and safety procedures and promote a positive safety culture.
• Monitor and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Respond to and investigate safety complaints and incidents.
• Organize staff safety training and maintain accurate training records.
• Manage emergency procedures, including fire drills.
• Ensure all accidents, incidents, and dangerous occurrences are reported via AL ADAA.
• Liaise with government authorities during inspections and visits.

Transport Coordinator

• Oversee Emirates Transport and all school transport operations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for parents regarding transport concerns and queries.
• Manage the bus enrolment process and ensure efficient route planning.
• Conduct routine bus inspections to maintain safety standards.
• Provide regular reporting to senior management on transport operations.
• Implement and monitor compliance with transport policies and ITC regulations.

Person Specification

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or industry-related qualification at a similar level.
• Valid and up-to-date certifications in health and safety.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role (e.g., Health and Safety Officer, Safety Officer, Transport Supervisor).
• Experience in an educational institution or related service provider is preferred.
