Job description

Ensure the day-to-day operation runs smoothly in the restaurant.

Assist the restaurant leadership team in achieving high guest satisfaction.

Guide and lead servers in the restaurant.

Perform supervisor duties regularly.

Maximize sales potential through upselling.

Secure cash floats at all times.

Work within budgeted costs.

Minimize abuse of operating equipment.

Complete requisitions for supplies, ensure delivery and proper accounting.

Minimize overtime use.

Record all voids and report payment discrepancies to the Restaurant Manager.

Follow company procedures when handling cash, credit cards, and cheques.

Handle guest complaints and report to the Manager.

Coordinate with colleagues to meet guest needs.

Ensure proper handovers at shift changes.

Liaise regularly with the Head Chef and Reception.

Gather customer feedback consistently.

Maintain a daily management report of events.

Create and maintain respectful rapport with regular guests.

Handle guest comments, questions, complaints, requests promptly and courteously, with follow-through.

Understand guest needs to provide efficient, friendly service.

Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in food, beverage, guest service, and cleanliness.

Support other hotel revenue centers such as Rooms and Events.

Be results-driven and accountable.

Participate in daily business reviews, weekly sales, and management meetings.

Conduct regular inspections to maintain assets.

Enhance the hotel's reputation within the community by engaging local influencers.

Perform any other duties within the scope of the job as requested.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience in Restaurants and Bars.
  • 1-2 years in a public contact role, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle hotel.
  • Proficient in using computers and POS systems.
  • Gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and departments.
  • Ability to work independently and promote teamwork.
