Job Description

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a Head Waiter/ess to join our In Room Dining team. This role involves overseeing the in-room dining experience, ensuring exceptional service, and managing food and beverage delivery in guest rooms. The Head Waiter/ess reports to the F&B Supervisor.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing personalized, professional in-room dining service and anticipating guest needs.
  • Maintaining detailed menu knowledge and communicating guest preferences or allergies.
  • Accurately operating POS systems for orders and billing.
  • Delivering tailored service, upselling, and enhancing guest experience.
  • Ensuring food and beverage quality and presentation standards.
  • Supporting other outlets and upholding Mandarin Oriental’s legendary quality standards.
Candidate Requirements:
  • High school qualification; hospitality, hotel, or business management diploma preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a senior waiter or Chef de Rang, preferably in luxury hotels or high-volume restaurants.
  • Familiarity with POS and cashiering procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and good command of English communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
