About the Role
The Head of Project Delivery will be responsible for leading and managing the entire project delivery process for real estate developments. This includes overseeing the planning, execution, and final handover of projects within budget, on time, and to the highest standards. The role requires strategic thinking, operational efficiency, and effective team leadership to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsible for:
Project Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders involved in project delivery.
- Ensure all real estate projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership in the development of new projects and ensure alignment with the company’s long-term goals.
- Act as the main point of contact for senior executives regarding project progress, issues, and concerns.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Oversee project planning, design, and construction phases to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Establish detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Monitor and report on project performance, addressing any potential delays, risks, or issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, safety standards, and sustainability practices.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Regularly review financial reports, track expenditures, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure cost-effective decision-making without compromising quality or safety.
Stakeholder Management:
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
- Act as the primary liaison between the real estate company and external partners or third-party vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and manage the procurement of services, materials, and resources.
Risk Management:
- Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure that potential project delays, cost overruns, and other risks are proactively managed.
- Implement quality assurance processes and ensure consistent project delivery.
Performance and Reporting:
- Monitor project milestones and deliverables to ensure projects are completed according to set expectations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on project status to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Implement post-project evaluation and lessons-learned practices to improve future project delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture, Real Estate Management, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree, PMP, or equivalent Project Management certification preferred
Required Skills
- At least 15-20 years of experience in real estate project management, with a strong track record of successfully delivering large-scale real estate projects in the UAE of the last 10 years.
- Must have handled multiple projects with total project value of ~AED 5bn with a team of project managers
- Strong experience managing cross-functional teams and large project budgets.
