Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in the UAE seeks a seasoned risk leader to head Wealth Risk for UAE and MENAT. You will provide independent oversight across financial and non-financial risks, shaping risk appetite, governance, and risk strategies to support sustainable growth.

You will advise senior executives, lead a high-performing team, ensure policy alignment with Group risk, and partner with wealth management to govern product governance, due diligence, suitability and fair value considerations.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in business/finance or related field.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Experience in private banking or wealth management risk.
• Experience in regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent, forward-looking oversight of Wealth risk for UAE/MENAT.
• Lead governance forums to execute Risk Strategy and Risk Appetite.
• Oversee implementation of Group Risk Policies with local exceptions where needed.
• Manage launch and ongoing oversight of wealth products, services and distribution.
• Lead risk transformation initiatives and maintain strong stakeholder partnerships.
