Job description

We're looking for a Head of Technology to join a Tech Startup - someone who is equally excited about coding as they are about setting the Tech vision.

As Head of Technology, you'll lead all things Tech from architecture and infrastructure to hiring and scaling the engineering team. You'll work closely with the founding team to align technology with the business roadmap, making key decisions that shape the product and culture.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll be writing code, building systems, and leading by example while laying the foundation for our long-term technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the overall technology vision, architecture, and execution
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team
  • Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to define and deliver features
  • Oversee infrastructure, development practices, and tech stack choices
  • Ensure product scalability, security, and performance
  • Drive a strong engineering culture focused on innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate and integrate new tools, frameworks, or platforms as needed
  • Manage technical debt and balance speed with long-term quality

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Software Development, with 5+ years in a leadership or Tech Lead role
  • Proven experience building and scaling Tech products (bonus if in a startup environment)
  • Strong Full-stack Engineering background
  • Strategic thinker with a strong execution mindset
  • Passion for clean, scalable code and modern dev practices
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in cross-functional teams
