Job Overview
The Head of Tax Advisory Global Markets - Abu Dhabi UAE will serve as the primary tax advisor for all market-driven transactions under FAB s Global Markets, Investment Group, and Corporate Finance arms. The role requires deep technical knowledge in international and corporate tax, strategic planning, and proactive risk mitigation, while managing tax documentation, reporting, and policy development.

Key Responsibilities

* Advise on tax structuring for Global Markets and Investment Banking transactions across all FAB entities globally
* Provide technical tax guidance to business units such as Global Markets, GCF, GTB, Private Banking, and Secured Products
* Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations in all jurisdictions, including new GCC tax laws
* Maintain and regularly update the Group's advisory tax policies and governance manuals
* Support transaction planning, including M&A, cross-border investments, and complex financial instruments
* Work with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure sound tax positioning on deals
* Coordinate with Financial Reporting teams to validate appropriate tax disclosures
* Liaise with tax authorities and manage audit queries or investigations as needed
* Monitor regulatory changes and proactively advise on operational impacts and mitigation plans
* Provide training and ongoing support to internal finance and legal teams on evolving tax risks
* Lead documentation and substantiation of tax advice and advisory outcomes
* Support Group Head of Taxation on strategic projects and global tax initiatives

Job Requirements

* First and second degrees in finance, accounting, or related discipline
* Professional certification: CPA, ACA, or equivalent tax/accounting qualification required
* Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate and international tax, with at least 6 years in capital markets or financial services
* Proven experience advising on structured transactions and capital markets activity
* Must have worked in at least two countries or regions, ideally with exposure to both developed and emerging markets
* Strong understanding of tax reporting systems and ERP tools (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
* Familiarity with tax technology platforms and bank systems
* Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage advisory responsibilities under tight deadlines
* Self-driven, culturally aware, and adaptable in global business environments
