Global Head of Tax | Leading Investment Firm

We’re delighted to be retained by a prestigious global investment management firm to appoint aGlobal Head of Tax to lead their international tax function across multiple jurisdictions. This role will suit a market leading Tax professional with deep expertise in cross-border tax issues within asset management or hedge funds.

The Opportunity :

As the Global Head of Tax, you will take full responsibility for all tax matters across the group’s legal entities and its managed funds. You’ll lead and develop a high-performing team of eight tax professionals across the UK, US and UAE, and provide strategic guidance on global tax issues affecting the firm’s business, investments, and structure.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the global tax function across all jurisdictions.
• Provide technical advice on fund-level transactions, new business initiatives, employment tax, and indirect tax.
• Oversee global transfer pricing, Pillar 2, and CbCR compliance.
• Monitor tax legislation and advise senior stakeholders on potential impacts.
• Manage corporate tax compliance and tax authority engagements.
• Lead all fund-related tax matters including investor tax reporting, ASC 740 reviews, FATCA and CRS compliance.

About You :

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in asset management, hedge funds or financial services.
• Strong cross-border tax expertise and ability to advise at a strategic level.
• Proven leadership experience managing a team of tax professionals.
• A professional accounting or tax qualification.
• Strong understanding of global tax frameworks (OECD Pillar 2, CbCR, transfer pricing).

Preferred (but not essential) :

• Previous in-house experience within an asset management or hedge fund setting.
• Experience engaging with senior management and tax authorities at a global level.
