Job description

The Head of Training Standards (HoTS) is responsible for coordinating globally within the BAT / HAT network to ensure training delivery by managing Instructor and Examiner quality, capacity, and strategic planning in collaboration with the Global Head of Training EASA for EASA, UK CAA, and other NAA's compliant with FCL standards worldwide.

Additional duties include supporting audits, strategic operational planning, supervising and proactively managing training delivery to ensure compliance with ATO approval, standard processes, and customer contracts, while maintaining high safety, compliance, and training quality standards.

The role we are offering you :

  1. Proactively plan and engage with Operations to meet global Instructor and Examiner qualification demands.
  2. Represent and act on behalf of the Global Head of Training EASA / UK CAA.
  3. Support, supervise, guide, and lead ground school and flight simulation training instructors for EASA or UK CAA mentorship.
  4. Manage instructor performance issues through collaboration with the Training Managers or Center Leaders, in partnership with the Global Head of Training.
  5. Ensure training is conducted in strict accordance with approved Operations and Training Manuals, SOPs, and syllabi via the Training Managers and instructors.
  6. Promote a culture of compliance and safety, including SMS and Non-Compliance reporting.
  7. Collaborate with the Sales Team to support potential client needs.

Our ideal candidate has :

  • An EASA or other ICAO licence.
  • EASA instructor qualification 900(a) or (c).
  • Proven management experience in a multicultural, regional, or global context.
  • Extensive flight training experience, including years, types, and instructional hours relevant to the center's scope.
  • Business Aviation or training center experience.
  • Former or current SFI / SFE / TRI / TRE qualification (preferred).
