Job Description
A large and diversified business group based in Abu Dhabi is seeking to hire a Head of Sales for its organic fertilizer / compost manufacturing and sales division. This is a strategic leadership role offering the opportunity to build and drive a high-impact commercial team in a rapidly growing sector.
- Develop a sales strategy to be adopted by the business and get it approved by management.
- Develop and monitor a sales tracking report that tracks sales across all products and teams on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly basis, including positive and negative variances.
- Conduct sales meetings with the sales team according to an agreed schedule, providing feedback to each team member and identifying problem areas while recommending solutions.
- Market intelligence: keep a sharp eye on trends in the target market, particularly information regarding upcoming projects that may require compost in large volumes.
- Regularly meet with current and potential clients, especially large corporate clients and municipalities, ensuring meetings are well planned and documented.
- Agree with management on sales targets and meet assigned targets.
- Lead the sales team, keeping them motivated and well-equipped to deliver on targets.
- Work closely with the group’s other related businesses to capture cross-selling opportunities.
- Ensure all documentary and procedural requirements, both internal and external, are fulfilled and well documented.
- Effectively use the company’s marketing collateral to promote its image and market presence.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's in Business, Economics, or related fields with a minimum of 10 years of experience, of which six years must have been in sales, OR a Master's in Business, Economics, or related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience, of which four years must have been in sales.
- Good knowledge of the fertilizer, landscaping, and real estate sectors.
- Fluency in English; ability to speak Arabic would be an advantage.
- Past experience in agriculture-related fields would be an advantage.
- Good understanding of the corporate sector of the UAE, particularly in real estate and landscaping.
- Knowledge and understanding of using sales and marketing tools.
- Pleasant and confident personality with strong leadership skills and the ability to lead the sales team.
- Good report writing and presentation skills; proficient with MS Office.
