Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Sales to lead sales and strategy for the asset management platform of one of our esteemed clients, with a focus on GCC institutional and wholesale, as well as sovereign wealth investors and family offices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new investment mandates, leading a sales team, and driving AUM growth across public and private market strategies. This is a senior leadership role requiring deep regional expertise, strategic vision, and strong execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts and originate new investment mandates from institutional, wholesale, and sovereign-wealth and family-office clients across the GCC.
- Build and manage long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted partner and advisor.
- Represent the firm in all client-facing interactions, presentations, and negotiations.
- Develop and execute the regional sales and distribution strategy aligned with the firm’s growth objectives.
- Set AUM growth targets and ensure effective pipeline management across segments and products.
- Collaborate with investment teams to ensure alignment between product offerings and client demand.
- Oversee marketing, branding, and communication strategies to support business development.
- Plan and execute client events, roadshows, and regional conferences to enhance brand visibility and client engagement.
- Drive content creation and thought leadership initiatives relevant to GCC investors.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve high performance and accountability.
- Ensure alignment between sales, product, investment, and operational teams.
- Engage clients on portfolio construction and multi-asset allocation strategies across both public and private markets.
- Understand and articulate the firm’s product offerings, investment philosophy, and performance.
- Support product development based on client demand and market trends.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA / CFA preferred
- Minimum 12 years of experience in asset management sales, with a strong track record of closing business.
- Demonstrated success covering institutional and wholesale, as well as family-office and sovereign wealth fund segments.
- Deep experience in the GCC market, with established relationships across the region.
- Strong understanding of portfolio construction, multi-asset investing, and fund structures across public and private markets.
- Familiarity with fund distribution frameworks, licensing, and platform dynamics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on operational capabilities.
- Arabic speaker is essential for this role.
