Position Overview:

OMNILOG, the freight forwarding division of TruKKer, is seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and results-oriented Head of Sales to lead our commercial expansion across the UAE. The selected candidate will be responsible for shaping and driving the freight forwarding business across Air, Sea, and Multimodal solutions, enhancing revenue growth, market penetration, and customer experience.

This senior leadership role involves overseeing the full sales lifecycle from go-to-market strategy, new customer acquisition, pricing, solution development, and retention of key accounts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of UAE logistics and trade dynamics, deep domain knowledge across freight services, and a proven ability to lead high-performing commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales & Business Growth

  • Design and implement the overall sales strategy for OMNILOG in the UAE, aligned with business objectives and revenue goals.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new business across air freight, sea freight (FCL/LCL), land freight, and multimodal transport.
  • Spearhead customer acquisition efforts across industries including manufacturing, retail, FMCG, oil & gas, and automotive.
  • Set growth targets by verticals, regions, and services, while tracking performance closely and recalibrating plans as needed.

Client Relationship Management & Key Accounts

  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with key accounts and multinational clients.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding, commercial alignment, and service satisfaction across strategic accounts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for client issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams for timely resolution.
  • Participate directly in high-value commercial negotiations, RFPs, and global/regional tender discussions.

Commercial Development & Pricing Oversight

  • Own the development and standardization of pricing strategies across products and lanes.
  • Collaborate with the pricing and procurement teams to ensure competitive and profitable rate structures.
  • Contribute to rate card design and periodic updates based on market intelligence and trends.
  • Ensure alignment between sales and pricing strategies to maintain healthy margins.

Sales Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team comprising Business Development Managers, Account Managers, and Sales Executives.
  • Define clear goals, territories, and vertical responsibilities across the team.
  • Oversee talent development, succession planning, and capability building within the team.
  • Promote a culture of high performance, customer obsession, accountability, and collaboration.

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Work closely with Operations, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to ensure end-to-end client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with international OMNILOG offices to drive regional and cross-border opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the collections team to support timely payments, credit compliance, and DSO improvement.

Legal & Regulatory Support

  • Engage with legal teams for contract vetting, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure freight and trade regulations are adhered to across shipments and customer engagements.
  • Assist with licensing, tender documentation, and government or port approvals as required.

Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement

  • Monitor competitor activities, market shifts, customer preferences, and trade lane changes.
  • Leverage insights to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent OMNILOG at industry events, exhibitions, logistics forums, and client summits to enhance brand visibility.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Lead weekly and monthly business reviews with detailed analysis on sales performance, revenue realization, pipeline progress, and team efficiency.
  • Work with internal data and CRM systems to maintain accurate sales forecasts and strategic insights.
  • Deliver strategic input to the executive team for budget planning, resource allocation, and geographic expansion.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in freight forwarding sales or business development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in the UAE.
  • Proven success in growing a freight forwarding business across Air, Sea, and Road Freight verticals.
  • Experience managing P&L or large revenue portfolios within a logistics organization.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (mandatory)
  • MBA or equivalent post-graduate degree (preferred)
  • Technical Expertise
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations, international trade, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
  • Proficiency in commercial tools including CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho), pricing tools, and data visualization platforms.

Leadership & Communication

  • Exceptional leadership qualities with experience in building, scaling, and motivating commercial teams.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage cross-cultural teams and drive results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Language

  • Fluency in English is mandatory
  • Arabic language skills are highly preferred
