Job summary

FundingPips Corp in Dubai is seeking a Head of Risk to lead the Risk department, own day-to-day risk decisions within delegated authority, and set standards for sound judgment across the business.

You will identify gaps, develop and test new controls, and collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering to turn insights into usable tools and workflows. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on decision making under pressure.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in proprietary trading risk or related trading risk environment.
• Experience leading a risk team or risk operation and handling complex escalations.
• Strong understanding of leveraged products, order execution, position sizing, margin, drawdown, and trading behaviour.
• Ability to investigate complex activity using order, trade, and account data, assess evidence strength, and communicate defensible decisions.
• Ability to analyze data independently, interpret results across cohorts, and explain underlying assumptions and limitations.
• Track record of building or improving a risk control, analytical tool, or operating process and explaining changes after implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Risk team, set priorities, coach members, and ensure coverage for time-sensitive decisions.
• Oversee day-to-day risk oversight, including trading activity monitoring, investigations, payout risk reviews, and escalations; present material cases to Group CRO with recommendations.
• Set standards for evidence, documentation, and quality assurance; ensure timely, consistent decisions grounded in applicable rules.
• Monitor emerging risks, trader behavior, and payout exposure; explain material shifts and identify patterns.
• Assess risk and commercial implications of new products; use data and scenarios to estimate effects and review outcomes after launch.
