Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Quantitative Strategies team for digital assets. This role will focus on designing and building a new business line centered on delivering innovative trading and market optimization strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies, managing a team of quantitative researchers and developers, and driving execution in a fast-moving and competitive market environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative trading, high-frequency trading (HFT), or market making, with a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams. Candidates with expertise in Python and low-latency programming languages such as C++ or Rust are strongly preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Quantitative Strategies business within Hex Trust Markets
• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand market share
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of quants, developers, and traders
• Foster a collaborative and innovative culture that emphasizes excellence and growth.

Strategy and Infrastructure Development

• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of algorithmic trading strategies
• Leverage market data, quantitative models, and cutting-edge technology to enhance strategy performance
• Partner with the technology team to develop scalable, robust, and low-latency trading systems
• Ensure infrastructure supports real-time execution and optimization of complex strategies

Market Insights

• Stay abreast of market trends, evolving dynamics, and emerging technologies to refine strategies
• Explore opportunities for diversification and innovation in trading and liquidity solutions

Risk and Compliance

• Develop and implement risk management frameworks to ensure the safety and efficiency of trading operations

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline from a top-tier institution
• Extensive experience in quantitative trading, HFT, or market making, ideally in digital assets or other asset classes
• Proven track record of building and leading teams of quantitative researchers, developers, and traders
• Deep understanding of market microstructure, liquidity dynamics, and algorithmic trading
• Strong programming expertise, with proficiency in Python for data analysis and strategy development
• Experience with low-latency programming languages such as Rust, particularly for high-performance trading systems
• Familiarity with building scalable, real-time trading systems and tools
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
