We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Director - Head of Department to lead and oversee the successful delivery of high-profile architectural projects. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, a strong track record in project management, and a deep understanding of architectural design and construction processes.

Job Responsibilities :

• Direct the delivery of multiple projects in conjunction with the Owners and Design Director to ensure a seamless workflow from concept to close-out.
• Manage the schedule, cost and delivery of multiple projects with the goal of achieving the targeted organizational benefits.
• Proactively identify and manage project-related risk and undertake remedial action when required.
• Ensure the delivery process maximizes the benefits of existing and upcoming technology, tools, and techniques to ensure a high level of efficiency in delivery.
• Maintain an updated and accurate project plan.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence-in-delivery, that mutually reinforces the studio’s design culture.
• Manage the procurement of Sub-consultants through the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the tender management phase of projects through to the award of contract.
• Assist the Design team in updating and mitigating risks throughout the life of the project.
• Manage the commercial aspects of projects. Fully conversant with the contract terms and conditions, scope, and deliverables.
• Provide technical and commercial guidance to the bidding team for the preparation of competitive proposals.
• Maintain a close communication protocol between Business Development, Bidding & Project Management Team.
• Ensure RFP Contracts, Clauses and Terms are reviewed by the Commercial Manager, comments tracker is maintained and addressed with the client.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in architectural project management, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience leading large-scale architectural projects across various sectors.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design, building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• A passion for design excellence and a commitment to delivering high-quality projects.
